SOLD!!  to the highest bidder!!

Let me introduce myself - my name is Steve Haggard. I am a life-long resident of Harrison County, Indiana . I have been an auctioneer for over 15 years.

My auction experience began as a child, going from one livestock auction to another, sometimes as many as four or five weekly. In my twenties, my father, A. B. Haggard, Jr., leased the Breckinridge County Stockyards in Irvington, Kentucky, which I helped manage and work for several years. During that time, I also managed Garfield Auction Barn in Hardinsburg, Kentucky. This was also a weekly sale and we sold everything from antiques to livestock. Southern Indiana Horse Sale, which I own and operate, was started in 1992 at the Harrison County Fairgrounds.

My overall experience, which spans 40 years, has given me many opportunities to sell real estate, farms, lake properties, livestock, antiques and collectibles, quilts, guns and so much more. I have also had the privilege to do many local benefit auctions in our community. These benefit auctions include several annual events such as the Pfrimmers Methodist Church Quilt Auction, the Blue River Carnival for Cancer Auction, the 4-H Livestock Auction held at the Harrison County Fair, the 4-H Horse & Pony Soup & Pie Supper Auction held at Unity Chapel, and the Harrison County Homemakers Pie Auction, also held during the fair. Others include Laconia Days, Habitat for Humanity, Corydon Elementary School, Corydon Intermediate School, St. Joseph's Catholic School and many more.
